Crowned Miss Taunton 2025, Ericka Correia is more than a titleholder—she’s a mentor, a role model, a talented dancer, and a passionate advocate for the power of connection. Through her Community Service Initiative, "Life-Changing Moments Begin with Mentoring," Ericka is shining a spotlight on the importance of adult role models in the lives of young people.

💬 A Mission Fueled by Experience
Ericka’s CSI is rooted in her own journey as a mentor. As a freshman at Boston University, she joined Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Massachusetts and was matched with her “Little,” Brianna. Over the past three years, Ericka has watched Brianna grow—and has grown herself.
“I was experiencing firsthand the impact that mentoring can have on a child,” Ericka shares. “Knowing that I was making a difference in my Little’s life was such a rewarding feeling, and I’ve learned a lot about myself through the experience.”
Her commitment to mentorship doesn’t stop there. This fall, Ericka will take on a leadership role as a College Ambassador for Big Brothers Big Sisters, working to recruit more Boston University students and increase awareness for the program across campus.
💃 Dance as a Form of Expression
Ericka is no stranger to the stage. Her favorite phase of competition? The talent portion. As a dancer, pageants have given her a platform to share her passion for movement and performance.
“I love dancing to songs I connect with and showcasing my favorite styles. I also get to meet other dancers and be inspired by their performances—it’s incredibly motivating.”
🎤 Confidence Built Onstage and Off
Outside of dance, pageants have transformed Ericka in lasting ways. From quiet and reserved to confident and camera-ready, she credits the Miss America Opportunity with giving her the courage to pursue a career in broadcast journalism.
“Pageants helped me become comfortable with public speaking and opened doors I never thought possible. Some of the connections I’ve made have even led to dream internships.”
👑 A Sisterhood Like No Other
When asked her favorite thing about pageants, Ericka doesn’t hesitate: the friendships.
“Each time I compete, I walk away with a new group of friends and people I know I can always count on. We lift each other up through everything—from anxiety attacks to fashion emergencies—and cheer each other on, crown or not.”
As Miss Taunton 2025, Ericka Correia is leading with heart—on stage, on campus, and in her community. Her passion for mentorship and her love for the arts are inspiring reminders of how pageantry can empower young women to pursue their purpose, serve their communities, and find their voice.
