Competition Details

The 2026 competitions for both divisions will take place:

May 23–24, 2026

This exciting weekend will bring together contestants from across the state to compete for the opportunity to represent Connecticut on the national stage at Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, be sure you meet the age requirements for your division:

• Miss Connecticut USA: Must be 18 years of age or older by January 1 of the national pageant year

• Miss Connecticut Teen USA: Must be born between 2007–2011 (at least 14 and under 19 by January 1, 2026)

What Judges Are Looking For

Understanding the judging criteria is key to preparing for success. The competition is broken down into three main categories:

• Interview (50%)

  
  

  Your opportunity to showcase your personality, communication skills, and confidence one-on-one with the judges

• Fitness (25%)

  
  

  Highlighting your physical confidence, stage presence, and overall wellness

• Evening Gown (25%)

  
  

  A moment to shine with elegance, poise, and personal style

How the Competition Works

The competition begins with a preliminary phase, where all contestants are scored in interview, fitness, and evening gown.

From there:

• Contestants with the highest composite scores advance to the semi-finals

• Semi-finalists compete again on stage in athletic wear/swimsuit and evening gown

• The field is narrowed down to a Top 5

Each finalist will then answer an on-stage question, giving them one final opportunity to connect with both the judges and the audience before final placements are announced:

• Winner

• 1st Runner-Up

• 2nd Runner-Up

• 3rd Runner-Up

• 4th Runner-Up
